The five-piece makes use of a unusually broad range of instruments. Marimba and vibraphone are rarely found on rock stages – but here they are; and unusual as they may be, they’re outdone by the Léode, a weird and wonderful stringed instrument invented by Lazuli themselves and the only one of its kind in existence. The unique, edgy and almost experimental feel of the band’s sound is superbly enhanced by this exotic musical cosmos.
